The MC34063A / MC33063A is a monolithic regulator subsystem intended for use as DC to DC converter. This device contains a temperature compensated bandgap reference, a duty cycle control oscillator, driver and high current output switch. It can be used for step down, step-up or inverting switching regulators as well as for series pass regulators.

Features

1. Operation from 3.0 to 40V input
2. Short circuit current limiting
3. Low standby current
4. Output switch current of 1.5A without external transistors
5. Output voltage adjustable
6. Frequency of operation from 100Hz to 100KHz
7. Step up, Step down or inverting switching regulators
